E. D. Watson is also a certified Practitioner of Poetic Medicine, the highest level of training offered by the Institute for Poetic Medicine. She leads poetry and somatic classes in parks, libraries, retreat spaces, and online, and is always on the lookout for new places to offer this healing modality. The most interesting place she has taught (to date) was inside a bird-watching shelter!
In addition, Watson is a certified yoga teacher (YTT200). She leads poetry and yoga workshops designed to release trapped language from the body to enhance healing and self-knowledge. She believes poetry is alive and well, and for everyone. She also believes in the body: Its dignity, resilience and wisdom — regardless of appearance or ability. In this spirit, workshops are designed for participants at all experience levels.
